Common Boundaries offers a departure from the typical wellness offerings. While our products are designed for the individual, they also can be customized for your organizational needs. We especially like to find ways that our programs can enhance and bring vitality to your existing wellness programs.

“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.”

Why Wellness Programs Are Important for Your Business

Wellness overall can result in employees who are not looking for someone else to solve all their problems. They are, instead, self-responsible individuals with the ability to look at the current reality of their situation, how they got there in the first place, what they may be doing to perpetuate their current state and what their vision is for overall health and well-being.

Employees make the connection of how their actions, thoughts and feelings have a significant impact on their health and how that, in turn, has an impact on the greater organization.

What Is Different about Our Approach?

Our Wellness Programs come from the perspective of wellness rather than illness. Wellness means different things to individual people. In fact, one can actually experience illness and be quite “well,” defined as overall health and vitality of well-being. It depends on where one is looking on the Wellness Continuum. We have found that a key component for wellness is the foundational aspect of self-responsibility.

Someone who is looking at disability, symptoms and signs of illness is in the Treatment Paradigm of the Continuum. On the other side of the Wellness Continuum, there is awareness, education and growth. As an extreme example, it is entirely possible for someone to be dying of an illness and experience a high level of wellness. That person is self-responsible and conducting all phases of his or her life in terms of wellness. That person can be living in wellness.

Our Approach

We use proven diagnostic tools to assess where clients are deficient in overall wellness and use this information for form action plans that guide the client to become more self-responsible—which leads to a high-level of wellness. One-on-one coaching is included to support the client’s increased awareness about his or her health and well-being. Increasing one’s level of self-awareness is a key component to improving overall wellness and living an effective life.

This cost-effective approach results in higher employee retention and productivity as well as improved health and stress reduction. Our clients’ benefits extend beyond the individual, having a noticeable positive impact on their immediate surroundings—work, family, friends and other relationships.
